Phase Matrix’s family of five PXI downconverter modules consist of five modules: the local oscillator (PXI-1450B), the preselector/attenuator module (PXI-1410), and the RF, IF, and MW downconverter modules (PXI-1430B, PXI-1440B, and PXI-1420 respectively). The wide range of applications that this family of downconverter modules serves includes synthetic/virtual instrumentation applications such as spectral analysis, time-domain analysis, and modulation analysis; portable and high-mobility test systems; signal intelligence; hybrid test systems (PXI, VXI, GBIB, and LXI); and embedded test systems (as used in health monitoring and diagnostics).
The modules can be configured seven different ways to cover ranges between 100 kHz and 2.9 GHz, 2.7 GHz to 26.5 GHz, and 100 kHz to 26.5 GHz. Users can program the modules to perform various RF and microwave signal-analysis functions or emulate older and obsolete instruments when operated in conjunction with PXI or PXI Express digitizers and controllers and DSP (digital signal processing) software.
